Your Transit Display

Setting it up from new, and changing what it shows — any time.

Start here

From factory

About five minutes. You'll need your WiFi password and a phone.

  1. Plug it in

Power the display with the USB-C cable. It comes up on a calm setup screen.

  2. Join its setup network

On your phone's WiFi settings, connect to the open network Transit-Setup. A setup page opens automatically.

    If it doesn't, visit http://192.168.4.1.

  3. Choose your home WiFi

Pick your network, type its password, tap Save. The display restarts and connects.

2.4 GHz works best. Your phone drops Transit-Setup — that's normal.

  4. Read the code on screen

Once connected it shows a 6-character code and transit.nodexdevices.com.

The code lasts 5 minutes and refreshes itself.

  5. Choose what it shows

On any phone or computer, go to transit.nodexdevices.com, enter the code, pick a screen, tap Save. It updates within a minute — done.

Any time

Changing what's showing

Go back to transit.nodexdevices.com whenever you like — it remembers your display, so you can change it without a new code.

Screens you can show

  • Trains & metros — Boston, London, Hong Kong, Oslo, Stockholm, Munich and more, plus UK National Rail.
  • Weather — your area, with °C/°F and mph/km·h.
  • World clock — the time in places you choose, for family abroad.
  • Tides — the day's tide curve for a coastal spot.

Make it change through the day

  • Schedule — a different screen at different times, by weekday/weekend or day by day.
  • Rotate — flip between screens every few seconds (e.g. trains, then weather).

The button on the board

  • A click — shows a fresh setup code, handy to change it from a new phone.
  • A hold 5 seconds — factory reset: wipes WiFi & settings and starts over, for moving it to a new network or passing it on.
